Design plan
A design plan for a project now can be used as a metaphor for a long term plan. When starting a plan, the first thing you do is come up with some kind of out line to follow, which is the actual plan. From there, you go at it, little by little, until the project is completed. Looking at a long term plan, the same can be applied. For example, someone majoring in medicine might want to take as many science and math classes as they can early. As simple as this sounds, it is a plan. Even further down the road, someone may shoot to graduate college after four years, and begin looking for a long term job that will be able to provide for a potential family only a few more years ahead. All of these examples can be used to describe how design plans now can be applied to long term design plans in our lives.
