A person can communicate a word without saying the word through body language and by saying the words meaning. They can also say a group of words associated with the word they are trying to communicate like they do on certain game shows such as Lingo and Pyramid.
I think these games shows are so popular because many people like to play along at home by guessing the words themselves. I like shows like Lingo because these shows don’t reveal the answers to the viewers at home.
